How FLEVARO collects, uses and protects personal information.
This notice is being finalised with our legal adviser. The summary below describes how the FLEVARO platform works today.
Who we are
FLEVARO provides fleet management software in South Africa. For the data your company captures in FLEVARO, your company is the responsible party and FLEVARO processes it on your behalf (as an operator under POPIA).
What we collect
Website: when you request a demo we receive your name, company, e-mail, phone number, fleet size and message. We use this only to answer your request.
Platform: user accounts (names, e-mail or employee number), vehicle and driver records, inspections with photos, defects, fuel slips, documents and GPS positions recorded by the driver app while a driver is on a shift.
How we protect it
Every company has its own separate database. Connections are encrypted, passwords are stored only as secure hashes, access depends on each user's role and every important action is written to an audit log. Backups are taken daily.
How long we keep it
Your company decides how long raw GPS positions are kept. Other records are kept while your company uses FLEVARO and are deleted or returned when the agreement ends.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, and you may complain to the Information Regulator. Contact us at hello@flevaro.co.za.
